Description

In 1929, 40 historical recordings were made in Bellinzona from 32 localities in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland (Ticino and Italian-speaking Grisons). Camilla Bernardasci and Michael Schwarzenbach have carefully restored the recordings, transcribed them (using dialect orthography and phonetics according to IPA) and translated them into standard Italian. The detailed introduction also discusses the history of the collection.
The publication includes the transcriptions and translations of this collection and is accompanied by two audio CDs with the restored recordings.
